Gilden Test and Inspection Ltd specialise in appliance testing. We are a family company based in East Sussex and serve customers throughout the Kent, Sussex, Surrey & London.

Matthew Gilden originally worked in consumer electronics for Sony United Kingdom before moving on to work with Appliance Management Ltd. of Newbury, Berkshire. The experience gained at Appliance Management and the positive comments from customers made Matthew realise that there was an opportunity to set up his own specialist company, offering a professional service.

GTI was founded on the concept that clients don't just want a 'cheap and cheerful' approach to electrical testing, but that a responsible business, developing a health and safety culture, will want to ensure that staff are protected and that the business is endeavouring to satisfy the electricity regulations and the duty of care resting with directors.

GTI is one of the first companies, specialising in PAT, to be audited and accredited by the NICEIC for appliance testing.

Our clients range from large to small organisations, including The National Trust, and departments in Kent County Council. We also carry out testing for both state and private schools and colleges.

We have £5 million public liability cover as well as £10 million employer's liability cover, we have also carried out a disclosure with the Criminal Records Bureau. All certification is included in our Exchange of Information file.
